Heart Center 2

Heart Center 2

One of our early releases was the original Heart Center, created in tandem with Golden Light whose foundation begins in the heart and then grounds to the earth before ultimately connecting with the sun to invigorate the body and soul. Because the frequencies we created for the heart and earth segments felt so good during our testing phase, we wanted to revel in that space.

Many listeners prefer a non-guided experience and our underlying frequency sets support the stated goal of each recording. But for those who wish to actively engage their attention towards a given goal, it can be useful to orchestrate visual imagery of some sort.

It wasn't immediately clear what that guidance might entail but I had recently learned a heart breathing technique through a course with Mastering Alchemy. We were guided to move our attention to the heart and imagine that was the location of our breathing. We were further instructed to imagine we were filling up a sphere surrounding the body as we inhaled and exhaled.

Many spiritual teachers had spoken of moving awareness to the heart and this typically reduced my distracting thoughts - a welcome outcome. But along with that effect, this particular exercise related to building a personal energy field, one that allows us to distinguish ourselves from external drama.

This concept brought to mind the heart research performed by HeartMath Institute. They have thoroughly studied the electromagnetic field that emanates from all hearts in the shape of a torus field (similar to the Heart Center 2 cover). This electromagnetic field expands and contracts depending  on our emotional state.

Feelings like joy, happiness and bliss are correlated to a large, expanded heart field while a more contracted field relates to fear, anger or sadness. We can consciously manage the size of our heart field by paying attention to our thoughts and emotions.

A useful model suggests that emotions are magnetic and thoughts are electric. This makes perfect sense given that the electromagnetic field coming out of our heart is related to our current state of being.

Most remarkably, research reveals that one person's heart field affects the others around them, effectively entraining through resonance other brains and hearts to match their own. Not only are we affecting our own heart field with our moods and behaviors, we are affecting others, whether we realize it or not.

As we are interconnected with others through our heart fields, so we are interconnected with the earth. HeartMath Has found a correlation between the earth’s electromagnetic activity and mood levels in humans.

And so, placing attention on this torus field constantly moving through the heart can bring balance and calmness not only to our personal energy field, but to our fellow beings and the earth itself.

In 2017, we re-released Heart Center with updated frequency sets, vocals and other sound effects. It was close enough to the original to keep the same name, but different enough that we wanted it to be obvious to listeners and so we changed the title to Heart Center 2 and designed a new cover image.

We often play Heart Center 2 for groups. It is an excellent method for getting centered in the heart and then connecting to the earth and expanding out to the world in all directions.

Keep in mind, when first placing attention on the heart, unexpected responses can arise. These are excellent opportunities to release unresolved emotional issues, making room for further expansion and growth.
