Why are your recordings expensive?

Why are your recordings expensive?

Occasionally people ask us why our recordings are so expensive. Some point out that free binaural beats are available on YouTube or tell us about free Apps that can customize binaural beats to the listener's preferences.

Others suggest our recordings cost a lot more than regular music or that spiritually-related teachings should be made available at no or low cost. Here is how we typically answer those questions in case others are wondering the same things.

YouTube currently limits the quality of their audio recordings to 192kbps. In our experience, this level of quality does not deliver the full benefit of binaural beat recordings. Depending on the producer, there may be some level of effect, but in general, these recordings will not be as powerful. It may be an easy way to find ambient music for background, but likely not provide an adequate soundscape for a deep sound journey into consciousness.

Apps that allow the user to select custom binaural beats with the option for different audio backgrounds (such as rain or surf) certainly have some appeal. In this case, the audio quality may be there, but compared to our multi-layered harmonic compositions, these sounds will be simple. This approach may work well for some situations or listeners, but not as well for others.

In general, the value of our recordings relates to the level of complexity involved in their creation. Over years of trial and error, we developed a proprietary method of combining binaural beats with monaural beats, a process we call NeuralHelix®.

All of our recordings contain NeuralHelix along with other sound effects that are selected based on their precise harmonic relationships to all other frequencies. A process of trial and error ensures the highest effectiveness for the desired purpose.

Unlike typical music, each of our recordings takes months to develop and we create a unique combination of frequencies each time, rarely repurposing the same formulas except when explicitly stated (for example, our Om frequencies that start off multiple recordings).

Brainwave entrainment audio technology generally costs more than regular music but among the many producers, our prices are at the lower end of the spectrum.

We offer a free 20-minute download to provide listeners with a potential experience prior to buying. We offer free training videos for further value.

We are especially pleased when listeners share that our recordings are "priceless" for the many benefits they bring. Spiritual development or practice can benefit greatly from helpful tools and techniques: each person will find what works best for them. Far from a one-time listening experience, establishing a regular listening routine brings the highest benefits.

We continue to develop innovative ways to deliver mind-expanding sounds to our listeners. We invest in equipment, software, courses and musical instruments to uphold our commitment to a high standard of audio quality. We devote our lives to ensuring our listeners receive the best support.

Our long-time listeners can attest to our general evolution in quality since first releasing the original Foundation Series on December 21, 2012. Even those who listen regularly to other binaural beats have often expressed ours as their favorite.

Given our broad expansion of product offerings, we are thrilled to announce that, as of July 12, 2018, we have reduced our prices by roughly 12% for nearly all products. We hope this will help even more people discover the power of Sacred Acoustics and allow our current listeners to expand their audio libraries.

I don’t think your recordings are any more expensive than comparable brainwave entrainment products offered by other companies. In fact, there are some that cost even more and make spurious claims as to their effects. The old adage that “you get what you pay for” is particularly true. I have only purchased one soundtrack to date from Sacred Acoustics and feel that it has been money well, spent.
